Derek Johnson

We have grown from a new and promising agency to a well-respected and successful force within the financial sector. Our track record is one of which we are very proud.

I have always enjoyed meeting and developing young talent and saw an opportunity to do just that in the Search and Recruitment industry. I felt that rather than being just another body-shifter in this unregulated industry we would create a company of high ethical standards, one concerned with the development of the careers of candidates as well as our own consultants.

To achieve this aim I needed to find someone who shared these ideals. Someone who had experience in and knowledge of the Investment Banking industry and who was held in high regard. This was to complement my own abilities in setting up and directing businesses.

Beverley and I met during 1999 and following discussions and a meeting of minds the company was set up at the end of that year.

In 2005 we created Nicoll Curtin Financial (formerly, Nicoll Curtin Operations) and Nicoll Curtin Technology. In July 2006 we segregated the Search & Selection side of our business into the newly created Kavanagh Brown. We now have three independently operating companies.

I believe there is no end to what the Companies within the Nicoll Curtin Group can achieve. As we look forward, we will be expanding in other areas of recruitment. Our approach will be the same one that has been so successful to date.
